Humans are bipeds. Dogs are quadrupeds. What about cats?
Cats are quadrupeds, too. “Quadruped” means any animal with four legs. The root “ped” means “foot”. Humans have two feet, so we are bipeds. Cats, dogs, horses, elephants, and pandas have four feet, so they are quadrupeds.

猫も四肢動物です。四肢動物は4本の足を持つ動物です。「Ped」という語源が「足」という意味です。人間には足が２本ありますので、「biped」です。猫、犬、馬、ゾウ、パンダなどには４本の足がありますので「quadruped」です。
