“Handy” can mean “convenient”. If I need to write down a memo to remember something, I will use whatever pen is handy. It can also mean “good at fixing things”. If a person is handy, he or she can repair things around the house, such as changing a light bulb or fixing a broken window. A repairman is also called a “handyman”.

「ハンディー」は「便利」という意味で使われます。何かを忘れないようにメモを書くとき、そこらへんにあるペンを使います。別の意味は「ものを直すのが上手」です。ハンディーな人は、家で壊れたものを直せます。電球の交換や割れた窓ガラスを直したりします。修理工は「ハンディーマン」とも呼ばれます。
