“It’s not clear what he wants me to do.”
“The water was so clear you could see the fish at the bottom of the river.”
“Clear” means “obvious” or “easy to understand”. It also means “transparent” or “see-through”. If someone is speaking too fast and the words run together, you can ask them to speak more clearly.
「彼が私にどうして欲しいのかわからない。」
「水があまりにも透明なので川底の魚が見えた。」
Clear は「明白」や「わかりやすい」という意味があります。他に「透明」という意味もあります。誰かが早口でしゃべって言葉が聞き取りにくい場合、はっきりしゃべるように頼むといいです。
