This is what we say when everyone in the audience cries while watching a play or movie. That is, everyone’s eyes are wet with tears. A sad scene or a sad story succeeds in making the entire audience cry.

映画や劇を観ている観客がほぼ全員心をうたれて泣いたしまうときに使います。つまり、みなの目が涙で濡れているということです。悲しいシーンやストーリーが観客を泣かせることに成功しました。
